General Officer Announcements

Sept. 16, 2015
Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced today that the president has made the following nominations:

 

Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr. for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as director, strategic plans and policy, J-5, Joint Staff; and senior member, U.S. delegation to the United Nations Military Staff Committee.  McKenzie is currently serving as the commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

 

Marine Corps Maj. Gen. William D. Beydler for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and for assignment as commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.  Beydler is currently serving as the commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
