Secretary Carter to Host United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Defence Fallon

On Dec. 11, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter will host an enhanced honor cordon to welcome  the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon to the Pentagon at 2:30 p.m. EST, on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Following their bilateral meeting, they  will conduct a joint press conference at 3:15 p.m. EST in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).  The press conference will be streamed live at www.defense.gov/live.

Journalists without a Pentagon building pass covering the enhanced honor cordon will be escorted from the base of the River Entrance Pedestrian Bridge only after security screening.  Security screening will begin at approximately 1:45 p.m. EST; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  All journalists wishing to cover the honor cordon, including those with a Pentagon building badge, must be in place no later than 2:15 p.m. EST.  Please call 703-697-5131 with any questions. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass covering only the joint press conference will be picked up at the River Entrance Pedestrian Bridge only.
