Secretary Carter Travels to NATO HQ

 Secretary of Defense Ash Carter will travel to Brussels to participate in his fourth NATO defense ministerial as Secretary of Defense June 13 - 15.
 
Secretary Carter will meet with his counterparts to discuss a broad range of issues of mutual interest in advance of the biannual NATO Summit to be held in Warsaw this July. The robust agenda  for this ministerial will include a discussion of our ongoing and substantial efforts to reassure our allies and partners in the face of Russian aggression, NATO contributions to the counter-ISIL campaign, our efforts to support a secure and stable Afghanistan, as well as the Alliance's common approach to a number of other shared threats.
 
Secretary Carter will hold a press conference June 15 at 8 a.m. EST that will be livestreamed on defense.gov.
