General Officer Assignments


The chief of staff, Army announces the following officer assignments: 

Maj. Gen. Jeffrey B. Clark, director, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland, to director, healthcare operations, Defense Health Agency, Falls Church, Virginia. 

Maj. Gen. Mark T. McQueen, U.S. Army Reserve, deputy commanding general (individual mobilization augmentee), manpower and reserve affairs, U.S. Army Europe, Germany, to commander (troop program unit), 108th Training Command (initial entry training), Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Maj. Gen. Mark W. Palzer, U.S. Army Reserve, deputy director for logistics operations (individual mobilization augmentee), J-4, Joint Staff, Washington, District of Columbia, to commander (troop program unit), 79th Sustainment Support Command, Los Alamitos, California. 

Maj. Gen. Leslie A. Purser, U.S. Army Reserve, commander (troop program unit), 108th Training Command (initial entry training), Charlotte, North Carolina, to special assistant to the assistant secretary of the Army (manpower and reserve affairs) (individual mobilization augmentee), Washington, District of Columbia. 

Maj. Gen. Michael R. Brig. Gen. Christie L. Nixon, U.S. Army Reserve, commanding general (troop program unit), Military Intelligence Readiness Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  She most recently served as deputy commanding general (individual mobilization augmentee), U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. 

Brig. Gen. Arlen R. Royalty, U.S. Army Reserve, deputy commander (troop program unit), 108th Training Command (initial entry training), Charlotte, North Carolina, to assistant deputy chief of staff G-3, mobilization and reserve affairs (individual mobilization augmentee), Office of Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7, Washington, District of Columbia. 

Col. (promotable) Gary W. Johnston to deputy commander, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  He most recently served as assistant chief of staff, G-2, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
