Mississippi National Guard was honored to be a part of the Distinguished Visitor’s Day highlighting the capabilities, pristine location and a host of enduring partners presenting a United Front in support of Operation Arctic Anvil and the Joint Readiness Exercise. This type of rapid deployment exercise challenges skills and promotes readiness throughout our military formations and further develops enduring civilian partnerships.

Command teams were represented by Lt. Gen. Leopoldo Quintas, Jr. (FORSCOM Deputy Commanding General), Maj. Gen. Kurt Ryan (FORSCOM G4), Maj. Gen. Stephen Farmen, U.S. Army Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Deborah Kotulich, (TRANSCOM Chief of Staff), and Maj. Gen. Janson D. Boyles, the adjutant general of Mississippi.

Key partnerships that participated in this event include the Port of Gulfport, Port of Pascagoula, Mississippi Defense Initiative, Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, Mississippi Economic Council, U.S. Transportation Command, U.S. Army Command, U.S. Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Mississippi National Guard, Keesler Air Force Base, and the University of Southern Mississippi.
