An F/A-18C hornet makes an arrested landing on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson in the Pacific Ocean, May 9, 2013. The Vinson and Carrier Air Wing 17 are currently underway off the coast of Southern California conducting flight operations. The hornet is part of the Mighty Shrikes of Strike Fighter Squadron 94.
