Army Staff Sgt. Iban Alverez completes as many chin-ups as he can in one minute during the Bandit Blitz team competition on Fort Bragg, N.C., Dec. 1, 2011. Alverez is a paratrooper assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team. The competition focuses on individual soldier skills graded collectively in teams of four. The first block of the competition includes pushups, chin-ups and a three-mile run.
