A U.S. Army helicopter mechanic sets up a helicopter blade stowage bracket for a OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter at Rhein Main Air Base, Germany, on Jan. 3, 1996. The OH-58's will be loaded into Air Force cargo aircraft and deployed to bases in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the NATO Implementation Force (IFOR). The Kiowa is a two seat, single engine, four-bladed main rotor, scout helicopter with a low light television, thermal imaging system and a laser rangefinder/designator incorporated into a mast mounted sight. The mechanic and the helicopters are from the 3rd Battalion of the 4th Aviation Brigade Cavalry Unit, Schweifurt, Germany.
