Christopher Morris runs to greet his father Petty Officer 1st Class Morris in Norfolk, Va., when the Navy Storekeeper's ship the aircraft carrier USS America (CV 66) returned from a six month, Mediterranean Sea deployment on Jan. 24, 1996. Additionally, the America Battle Group operated in the Adriatic Sea in support of the NATO Implementation Force (IFOR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina for Operation Joint Endeavor. This was the last deployment for the USS America which is scheduled for decommissioning later this year.
