U.S. Air Force C-17A Globemaster III on final for Taszar Air Field, Hungary
The runway at Taszar Air Field near Kaposvar, Hungary, is visible through the windshield of a U.S. Air Force C-17A Globemaster III as the aircraft makes its final approach to the air field on Dec. 19, 1995. The Globemaster III crew is flying in a cargo of 5 ton trucks from Rhein Main Air Base, Germany, to support the NATO Enabling Force of Operation Joint Endeavor. Enabling forces are moving into the Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia theaters of operation to prepare entry points for the main Implementation Force. The Globemaster III is from the 14th Airlift Squadron, 437th Airlift Wing, Charleston Air Force Base, S.C.
