A U.S. Air Force C-5A Galaxy lands at Azraq Air Force Base, Jordan, on April 12, 1996. The aircraft is carrying cargo, support equipment and personnel for a U.S. Air Force Air Power Expeditionary Force which will operate out of Jordan. The Expeditionary Force will provide additional land-based air forces to augment regional assets. The deployment will also give the Air Force an opportunity to work and train with coalition partners in the region. The deployment should be completed near the end of June 1996. The Galaxy is deployed from the 3rd Airlift Squadron, Dover Air Force Base, Del.
