Air Refueling for Operation Southern Watch
A U.S. Navy A-6E (Intruder) from Attack Squadron Three Four (VA-34) lines up his fuel probe with the buddy-store basket being deployed by another VA-34 Intruder aircraft in preparation for an in-flight-refueling over the Arabian Gulf on April 25, 1996. The Intruders were operating from the deck of U.S. Navy nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), which is currently deployed to the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch.
