Joggers take advantage of a no-fly day to run on the flight deck.
Silhouetted against the evening sun of the Arabian Sea, joggers take advantage of a no-fly day on the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) to run on the flight deck on May 9, 1996. The George Washington and its battle group were operating in the Arabian Gulf where they conducted air patrols in support of Operation Southern Watch. Southern Watch is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq.
