Pre-flight maintenance judges discuss their strategy as they prepare to score the 58th Airlift Squadron on their ability to properly perform pre-flight maintenance on the C-17 Globemaster III at Airlift Rodeo '96 on June 23, 1996. Airlift Rodeo '96 is the United States Transportation Command's tanker/airlift competition which tests the flight and ground skills of aircrews as well as the related skills of combat control, security police, aerial port, aeromedical evacuation, and maintenance team members. Crews from the U.S. and nine other countries are participating in the competition held this year at McChord Air Force Base, Wash.
