Staff Sgt. Tony Rodgers, of the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron, fires his 9mm pistol as part of the biathlon competition at Airlift Rodeo '96 on June 24, 1996. Airlift Rodeo '96 is the United States Transportation Command's tanker/airlift competition which tests the flight and ground skills of aircrews as well as the related skills of combat control, security police, aerial port, aeromedical evacuation, and maintenance team members. Crews from the U.S. and nine other countries are participating in the competition held this year at McChord Air Force Base, Wash. The 23rd is based at Hurlburt Field, Fla.
