Diver walks on the bottom amid TWA Flight 800 debris
A U.S. Navy diver, Engineman 2nd Class Anthony Bartelli, from Palatka, Fla., walked on the bottom while searching for TWA Flight 800 debris, one hundred and twenty feet below the U.S. Navy's salvage rescue ship USS Grasp (ARS 51). Bartelli is stationed on the Navy's submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) home ported in Norfolk, Virginia, and is temporarily assigned to the Grasp to augment and support 24 hour sustained diving operations. .
