U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. John Stotler, a Security Specialist with the 60th Security Police Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, Calif., uses his binoculars to scan the perimeter of the tent city at Prince Sultan Air Base, Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia, on Aug. 21, 1996. Personnel, aircraft, and equipment conducting Operation Southern Watch are being moved from bases in Dhahran and Riyadh to the remote desert air base to reduce their vulnerability to terrorist attack. Southern Watch is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq.
