Two Marine cannoneers hustle a 155mm white phosphorus round to the breech of a M-198 Howitzer during live-fire at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif., as part of Combined Arms Exercise 5-97, on April 11, 1997. The Marine Air Ground Task Force exercise is allowing these Marines of Golf Battery, 2nd Battalion, 10th Marines, to practice their desert warfare at the Twentynine Palms Lead Mountain Range.
