Nine hundred thirty-six new Navy and Marine Corps officers continue in the hat tossing tradition as they graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., on May 23, 1997. Vice President Al Gore gave the graduation address and presented each of the new officers their diplomas.
