The tail section of Korean Airlines flight 801 stands graphically visible at the crash site in the early morning hours of Aug. 6 1997 U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard and numerous civilian rescue teams, currently assisting in the search and rescue efforts of KAL flight 801, evacuated survivors from the crash site during the early morning of August 6th.
