A U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion, loaded with equipment from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepares to enter the well deck of the USS Wasp (LHD 1) as the ship steams off the coast of Camp Lejeune, N.C., on Oct. 8, 1997.
