Mr. Jianyi Yang of Sichuan, China, was honored at the Pentagon, October 22, 1997, as the 130,861st visitor of the year to take a Pentagon tour -- breaking the record set in 1996. Pentagon tours were instituted during the bicentenial in 1976, and, because of there great popularity, have remained a tourist attraction ever since. In addition to receiving a special motorized tour of the world's largest office building, Mr. Yang was presented a certificate attesting to his record breaking status and a Secretary of Defense medallion.
