U.S. Navy EA-6B Prowler refuels from British VC-10 tanker over Persian Gulf.
U.S. Navy Lt. Greg Parker maneuvers his EA-6B Prowler behind the starboard wing of a United Kingdom Royal Air Force VC10 K tanker during in-flight refueling over the Persian Gulf on Dec. 29, 1997. Parker and his aircraft are assigned to Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 137 as part of Carrier Air Wing One embarked on the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). The Washington is operating in the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch which is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. Parker is from Sand Point, Idaho.
