Sacks of the sailor's favorite cargo--mail--are unloaded from a CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter on the flight deck of the USS Nimitz (CVN 68) as the ship steams in the Persian Gulf on Feb. 7, 1998. Nimitz and her embarked Carrier Air Wing 9 are conducting sustained operations in the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch which is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq.
