Staff Sgt. Darryl Conny, from the 89th Civil Engineering Squadron, helps to build a tent city at an operating base in Southwest Asia on Feb. 17, 1998. The engineers are part of an Air Mobility Command Tanker Task Force operating in the Southwest Asia theater in support of Operation Southern Watch. Southern Watch is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. The engineers of the 89th are deployed to the Gulf region from Andrews Air Force Base, Md.
