Staff Sgt. Spencer W. Rogers poses for a photo with his new found friends living at the Mother and Child Refugee Center in Simin Han, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Jan. 30, 1998. The center houses refugees from Srebrenica, whose fathers were killed or missing from the Balkan Conflicts. Rogers, along with members from the 401st Expeditionary Air Base Group, volunteered to deliver donations of toys, food and clothing, to help the people living in the refugee center. Rogers is a U.S. Air Force security policeman from the 48th Security Forces Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, assigned to the 401st Expeditionary Air Base Group Security Forces as part of the Stabilization Force in Operation Joint Guard.
