Lance Cpl. Scott Fleckenstein and his fellow Marines of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit establish a security perimeter in a muddy soccer field at Sokalac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on March 28, 1998. The Marines, deployed from Camp Lejeune, N.C., are taking part in Exercise Dynamic Response 98. The exercise is designed to test the capabilities of the NATO's Strategic Reserve Force in support of the in-theater Stabilization Force.
