A C-130 Hercules drops a pallet during the heavy cargo portion of Air Mobility Rodeo 98 at McChord Air Force Base, Wash., June 23, 1998. Cargo pallets airdropped during Rodeo '98 test an aircrews ability to deliver cargo on-target to a designated drop zone. Rodeo 98 tests the flight and ground skills of aircrews as well as the related skills of special tactics, security forces, aerial porters, aeromedical evacuation and maintenance members. The goal of the international airlift-tanker competition is to develop and improve techniques and procedures that enhance air mobility operations.
