Petty Officers 2nd Class Patricia Whitley (left) and Michael Battle disconnect a pelican hook on board the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) as they complete an underway replenishment with the USNS Concord (T-AFS 5) on Oct. 11, 1998, in the Mediterranean Sea. Eisenhower is on a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean. The Concord is a Military Sealift Command combat store ship. Both Whitley, from Memphis, Tenn., and Battle, of Kinston, N.C., are Navy Boatswain's Mates.
