Lance Cpl. Zimmerman and Cpl. Garcia inventory a vehicle on the pier at Pohang Harbor.
U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. James Zimmerman (left) and Cpl. Chris Garcia use a bar code reader to inventory a vehicle as it is unloaded from the Motor Vessel Sgt. William R. Button (T-AK 3012) onto the pier at Pohang Harbor, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 15, 1998, for Exercise Foal Eagle '98. Foal Eagle '98 is a combined, joint exercise supported by forces from the U.S. and Republic of Korea. In addition to providing hands-on field experience for forces of both nations, Foal Eagle '98 was designed to test rear area protection operations and major command, control and communications systems. This vehicle is part of a Maritime Prepositioning Force that is especially configured for the U.S. Marine Corps and is being deployed in support of Foal Eagle '98. Zimmerman is attached to Support Company Support, Okinawa, while Garcia is attached to Support Company Support, Hawaii.
