Senior Airman Shulmanan locates the navigational points for Tiger Challenge '99.
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Edward W. Shulmanan locates the navigational points he will have to find in a 20 square kilometer area, during the land and compass navigation event of Tiger Challenge '99 at U.S. Army Camp Garry Owen, Republic of Korea, on July 6, 1999. Shulmanan is an enlisted terminal attack controller or ETAC from the 604th Air Support Operations Squadron, Republic of Korea. Tiger Challenge '99 is testing Shulmanan and 19 other competitors on their ability to perform a variety of tasks drawn directly from their mission of close air support, calling in air strikes against the enemy in close proximity to friendly forces. Shulmanan is from North Brunswick, N.J.
