A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bomber leads a flight of Egyptian, French, Greek, Italian and U.S. aircraft over the Great Pyramids of Giza, Egypt, during Exercise Bright Star '99/00 on Oct. 25, 1999. Bright Star is a joint/combined command post and tactical field exercise in Egypt involving over 50,000 participants from 11 countries. The annual exercise is designed to improve readiness and interoperability between U.S., Egyptian and coalition forces.
