A young girl is amused to find U.S. Army soldiers lined up against the walls of her house in Mitrovica, Kosovo, on Feb. 21, 2000. The soldiers from the U.S. Army's Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, and United Nations' police are conducting a house-to-house search for weapons. The soldiers are attached to the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C., and are deployed to Kosovo as part of KFOR. KFOR is the NATO-led, international military force in Kosovo on the peacekeeping mission known as Operation Joint Guardian.
