A member of the U.S. Army's Golden Knights Parachute Team comes in for a landing in the center of the Pentagon Parade Field at the conclusion of the 50th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day ceremony at the Pentagon on May 18, 2000. Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Henry H. Shelton, U.S. Army, co-hosted the event which honored approximately 300 "unsung heroes" who are military and civilian employees of the Department of Defense in the National Capital region.
