One hundred military family members, selected from individual command areas or bases, were brought to the Pentagon to participate in the discussions devoted to military family issues. Kirwan is the wife of a Marine Gunnery Sergeant stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Cohen is the wife of Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen.
