Ken Johnson, of the U.S. Olympic shooting team, smiles after his wife Nancy won the first gold medal for the women's 10 meter air rifle competition at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, on Sept. 16, 2000. Nancy Johnson's gold medal is the first awarded in the Sydney Games and the first gold for the U.S. Husband Ken will compete in the men's 10 meter air rifle competition later in the games. Fifteen U.S. military athletes are competing in the 2000 Olympic games as members of the U.S. Olympic team.
