Two joint service honor guards remove flag-draped transfer cases containing remains believed to be those of Americans lost during the wars in Korea and Vietnam from an Air Force C-17 Globemaster III during a ceremony at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, on Nov. 20, 2000. Twenty-one sets of remains were repatriated to American soil during the ceremony. The repatriated remains will go to the U.S. Army's Central Identification Laboratory in Hawaii for forensic identification.
