U.S. Navy Petty Officers Jerrod Denman, Nathan Wix and David Roth open cargo containers for inspection on board the container ship IBN Al Haithan in the Persian Gulf on Jan. 31, 2001. Denman, Wix and Roth are attached to the USS Higgins (DDG 76) which is conducting maritime interdiction operations in the Gulf. The Arliegh Burke class destroyer is deployed to the Gulf from its homeport of San Diego, Calif.
