Secretary of the Army Thomas E. White announces the Army installations that have been selected to host the next four Interim Brigade Combat Teams at a Pentagon news briefing on July 12, 2001. The Teams will be quickly deployable, by air or sea, and based at installations which were selected to put the forces in close geographic proximity to Air Force and Navy transport assets.
