U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson, of Texas, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, watch the troops pass in review during the National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony at the Pentagon on Sept. 20, 2002. Johnson, an Air Force fighter pilot during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, spent seven years in captivity in Hanoi, Vietnam, after his F-4 Phantom was shot down on his 25th combat mission of that war. Johnson was the keynote speaker for the ceremony.
