Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Victoria Clarke briefs reporters on the overnight developments of coalition forces in and around Baghdad during a Pentagon press briefing on April 10, 2003. Clarke also highlighted some of the humanitarian efforts that are already underway across Iraq. Clarke and Maj. Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, U.S. Army, brought reporters up-to-date on Operation Iraqi Freedom, which is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
