An honor guard representing each of the nation's armed services stands in formation during opening ceremonies of the Joint Armed Forces Open House and Air Show at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., on May 16, 2003. Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, were on hand to address the audience and greet military families in attendance. The open house affords the public the opportunity to meet some of the men and women serving in our military forces and examine the latest military aircraft, combat vehicles and weapons systems.
