Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz autographs a book by Andrew Carroll entitled "War Letters" for Army Spc. Alan M. Seals at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 11, 2003. Wolfowitz presented Seals the Purple Heart medal in recognition of the wounds he received in combat. Wolfowitz visited with wounded soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan before joining President Bush at Arlington National Cemetery for the traditional Veterans Day observances.
