An Arrow anti-ballistic missile interceptor rises on a column of fire.
An Arrow anti-ballistic missile interceptor rises on a column of fire as it is launched from a mobile launching platform during a joint Israel/United States developmental test at the Point Mugu Sea Range, Calif., on Aug. 26, 2004. This was the second in a series of tests following a previous successful test in which a simulated target missile was intercepted and destroyed. The test was part of the ongoing Arrow System Improvement Program.
