Austin Pearson conduct a Pentagon press briefing on Oct. 29, 2004, to discuss what is known concerning the reports of large quantities of missing Iraqi munitions from the Al Qa Qaa storage facility south of Baghdad, Iraq. Pearson detailed how the ordnance unit he commanded during the Iraq war was tasked to remove "easily accessible munitions" from the Al Qa Qaa facility.
