Seamen Jinhan Chen (left) and Michael Kincade direct Landing Craft Utility 1634 to a boat ramp at Kuwait Naval Base on Feb. 26, 2005. The landing craft will on-load Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and transport them to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49). The Marines of the 31st have been forward deployed to Iraq since July 2004. Chen and Kincade are assigned to Assault Craft Unit 1of Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, Calif.
