Sailors from Assault Craft Unit 4 drive their Landing Craft Air Cushion right up on the beach in Biloxi, Miss., to deliver relief supplies to the Gulf Coast region on Sept. 6, 2005. The Landing Craft Air Cushion, more commonly known as an LCAC, is deployed onboard the USS Bataan (LPH-5) that is operating in the Gulf of Mexico. Department of Defense units are mobilized as part of Joint Task Force Katrina to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency's disaster relief efforts in the Gulf Coast areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
