U.S. Marines assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit Service Support Group depart Biloxi, Miss., to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina in outlying areas on Sept. 6, 2005. Department of Defense units are mobilized as part of Joint Task Force Katrina to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency's disaster relief efforts in the Gulf Coast areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina. These Marines are deployed from Camp Lejeune, N.C.
