Americans ride a U.S. Marine Corps helicopter out of Lebanon
U.S. citizens put on their cranial helmets and life preservers as they wait to board a CH-53 Super Stallion helicopter at the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, for a flight to Cyprus on July 20, 2006. At the request of the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon and at the direction of the Secretary of Defense, the United States Central Command and elements of Task Force 59 are assisting with the departure of U.S. citizens from Lebanon.
