U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Josh Mirrotto modifies a dog handle to fit a watertight door in the pipe shop aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) while the ship is underway in the Gulf of Oman on Aug. 1, 2009. Mirrotto is assigned as a hull maintenance technician who works in conjunction with damage controlmen to maintain watertight integrity aboard the ship. The ship is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
